In this role, Jacob primarily works as the website administrator for the division. Throughout the division's webpages, he helps bring information to students, as well as manage division sites to ensure that they are as accessible and pleasing as possible. Along with that, he formats and sends emails within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, create events within Livewhale and builds forms using Fireform.
If you had a podcast, what would it be about and who would be your dream first guest?
A pastime of mine is watching movies, especially ones that are introspective, so I'd love to sit down with a director like Isao Takahata or Christopher Nolan and discuss how their films reflect them as both artists and people.
If you could live inside any fictional world or universe, where would you go?
I'm a huge Lord of the Rings fan, so I'd love to live in Middle-Earth for a while!
What’s something you’ve always wanted to learn but haven’t started yet?
I occasionally do woodworking as a hobby, but I've never learned how to use a lathe! I'd love to be able to make plates, bowls and learn how to pen-turn.
What’s a habit or mindset shift that’s genuinely improved your life?
For the line of work I do, viewing web pages and sites from an "accessibility first" angle has improved my work dramatically, as well as influenced how I view infrastructure. Being able to look at a problem from all angles allows me to create an experience that is beneficial to everyone, no matter what.
