As the fall semester comes to an end on Dec. 21, many campus offices will shift to modified hours for the holidays and winter break. IU Indianapolis, along with all buildings and services below, will be closed from Dec. 25 through Jan. 1, with spring classes kicking off on Jan. 12.
Campus Center
- Reduced hours (7 a.m.–7 p.m. weekdays, closed on the weekends) begin on Dec. 12.
- Normal operating hours (7 a.m.–10 p.m., Monday–Saturday and 10 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday) will resume on Jan. 10.
Dining
All on-campus dining locations are operating on normal business hours through Dec. 19.
- Reduced hours:
- Caribou Coffee will be open Dec. 22–24, 8 a.m.–noon and will reopen after winter break on Jan. 2
- Chick-fil-A and Panda Express will be open Dec. 22–24, 11 a.m.–2 p.m. and will reopen after winter break on Jan 2.
- The Market will be open Dec. 22–24, 7 a.m.–10 p.m. and will reopen after winter break on Jan. 2
- Closed:
- The Den will be closed starting Dec. 19
- Sticky Notes, Copperhead Jack’s, The Daily Bagel, Pizza Hut and Jags Crossing will be closed starting Dec. 20. All eateries will reopen for the spring semester.
- Tower Dining will be closed starting Dec. 22
Housing and Residence Life
Community desks will be closed Dec. 21–Jan. 9 and package pickup will be unavailable during this time. Regular desk hours will resume on Jan. 9 at 8 a.m.
Staying on campus for winter break? Residents in University Tower, North Hall and Ball Hall need to register for a winter break stay. There is no additional charge for a break stay, but registration is required.
- Access the registration form via the housing portal.
- After submitting the form, a housing staff member will contact your IU email to notify you of your request status and provide additional information.
- Tower Dining will be closed for winter break, so residents will need to supply their own food or obtain food from Paws' Pantry in advance.
Residents in the Riverwalk Apartments do not need to register for a winter break stay.
Campus Health
Students can receive medical services until noon on Dec. 24. Campus Health will reopen with normal operating hours on Jan. 2.
Campus Recreation
- The Jag and Esports Lounge will observe winter break hours starting on Dec. 19:
- 7 a.m.–7 p.m., Monday–Friday
- Closed Saturday–Sunday
Normal operating hours will resume on Jan. 10.
- Open recreation in the Jungle will end on Dec. 18.
Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships, Office of the Registrar, and Office of the Bursar
- Dec. 22–24: 9 a.m. to noon for virtual services only.
- Dec. 25 to Jan. 1: Closed
- Jan. 2: 9 a.m. to noon for virtual services only.
